PaySpan Hires Former First Data Exec Cheryl King as CFO

Former First Data CFO Cheryl King will assume the same position at PaySpan, a health care payment automation company.

"Cheryl's strategic insights reinforce our momentum as we continue to expand our payer, provider and health care consumer markets with new technology, data capabilities and network innovation in 2014 and beyond," says Kevin Arner, CEO of PaySpan, in a Nov. 12 press release.

King has more than 25 years of experience in the payment processing, health care and pharmaceutical, communications, IT and consumer products markets.

She joins PaySpan as the company looks to expand use of its United Benefits Card, a new card that bundles health care plan member IDs, paper checks and other payment modes used in health care, as well as wellness incentive cards.
