The payment processor Planet Payment has named Carl Williams as its president.
Williams has worked in financial services for 30 years, most recently as managing director of Pay Anywhere from May 2012 to July 2013. His career also includes stints as president of worldwide payment processing for Global Payments and divisional president of merchant services for National Processing Co. He has also been a director at Planet Payment since August 20, 2013.

Planet Payment on Nov. 12 also reported third-quarter earnings, including net revenue of $10.5 million compared to $9.9 million in the third quarter of 2012.
