Prosa, a Mexico-based payment processor, will install kiosks made by United States-based VeriFone Holdings Inc. at retailers throughout Mexico, VeriFone said in a statement released Monday. Besides cash-dispensing capabilities, the MX ATM kiosks accept deposits. Consumers also can use the machines to add minutes to prepaid mobile phones, pay bills, and redeem and reload prepaid cards, VeriFone says. Buyers can add barcode readers and biometric readers and coin acceptors to the kiosks, VeriFone says. Prosa began certifying the MX ATMs in May, and Prosa began installing the kiosks in July, a VeriFone spokesperson tells CardLine Global. VeriFone did not say how many MX ATMs were included in the deal or how much the kiosks cost.
