Roam is approaching potential U.S. clients with a product that allows businesses to deploy and centrally manage a broad network of mobile point of sale terminals.
The Ingenico subsidiary's ROAMmcm5 is designed to enable businesses to distribute mobile point of sale functions to a disparate group of users. From a central location, managers can control multiple devices running on different operating systems and applications. Other tasks include custom risk profiles, integration with back office systems, real-time reports on transactions, links to digital wallets and loyalty programs, and management of receipts and other documents.
"Deploying an omni-channel solution that includes mobile payments and spans multiple countries is incredibly complicated due to the different regulations in each country," says Ken Paull, CEO of Roam. "[The product] masks that complexity and can handle a broad array of geographic requirements."
