Under the agreement, Miami-based Leapfactor will integrate Roam's payment processing technology into its mobile apps. Leapfactor will also provide its customers with Roam's mobile card reader for point of sale transactions.

"It is increasingly important for us to team up with leading technology partners who can use our APIs to integrate payment acceptance into industry-specific business applications," said Jean-Marc Thienpont, chief operating officer at Roam, in an August 4 press release.

The partnership comes months after Roam added staff management functions to its mobile offerings in an effort to improve the company's appeal to a greater range of businesses.
