"We're proud to be the first casino property to accept Bitcoin," says Derek Stevens, co-owner and chief executive officer of the hotel in a May 22 press release.

The hotel's front desk, restaurant, gift shop and other venues accept the digital currency as payment. The ATMs will handle deposits as well as allow users to exchange Bitcoin for dollars through the Robocoin Bank platform.

Stevens and Jordan Kelley, the CEO of Robocoin, agreed to disallow Bitcoin for gaming at the D casino even though Robocoin has disclosed its compliance measures to the Nevada Gaming Control Board, according to the release.

This month Robocoin will launch elsewhere "in the highly regulated state of Nevada," Kelley says. "These are all signs of Bitcoin maturity and institutional acceptance."

Robocoin deployed its first Bitcoin ATM in October 2013 in Vancouver, and earlier this year deployed a machine in the U.S.
