Tightening its connections to restaurants with a brisk delivery business, Square has acquired a longstanding Dallas-based local food delivery service to add to its Caviar food-ordering platform.

Entrees On-Trays, which has operated in the Dallas area since 1986, will become part of Caviar, significantly expanding the number of restaurants and volume the platform handles, Square said in a Thursday press release.
Caviar launched in Dallas in 2015 with 30 restaurants and over the last three years delivery orders and revenue have grown by triple digits, the release noted.
To promote the expansion, Caviar is offering new dishes from participating local restaurants that are available only to customers ordering via Caviar on the web or via its app, Square said in the release.
