The deal covers about 6,400 hotels, restaurants, amusement parks, camp sites, hostels and ski and spa resorts.

To use SEQR, retailers apply a sticker with a QR code at the point of sale terminal. Shoppers scan this code and type a four-digit PIN on their smartphone to authorize a payment. SEQR also offers digital receipts, coupons and loyalty programs. The funds for payments are drawn directly from the consumer's bank account.

Seamless also recently signed a deal with the Swedish pharmacy chain Apoteksgruppen to use SEQR. The mobile wallet is also available in markets such as Kuwait and Belgium
