The Taiwan External Trade Development Council operates Taiwantrade, which enables buyers around the world and Taiwanese suppliers to conduct RFQ (Request for Quotation) and other business activities online.

“The collaboration will let buyers directly proceed with small, sample-product purchases from interested suppliers on Taiwantrade,” the official says. “We expect this collaboration to provide a better online-transaction process and increase buyers’ willingness to source from Taiwanese companies.”

The official expects the deal to bring more orders this year for Taiwan’s small- and medium-value enterprises in sectors such as machinery, electronics, communications, computers, auto parts and motorcycles.
