Texas Dow Employees Credit Union is partnering with the Buc-ee's convenience-store chain to offer users of its debit card a 30-cents-per-gallon discount on gas purchases during October, reports Credit Union Journal, a CardLine sister publication. For those without a Texas Dow debit card, the Lake Jackson, Texas-based credit union will issue a debit card to consumers who open a free checking account. The savings event will run through Oct. 31 at Buc-ee's stores in Lake Jackson, Brazoria, West Columbia, Freeport, Surfside, Angleton, Pearland, Richmond, Cypress, League City and El Campo.
