United Overseas Bank says it has begun issuing its first China UnionPay-branded credit card in Singapore. The Singapore-based bank will market the card to business travelers who often visit China, a UnionPay spokesperson tells CardLine Global. Consumers can use the card to initiate purchases at more than 1.7 million merchant locations and to make withdraws at more than 150,000 ATMs in China. The bank was the first in Singapore to collaborate with UnionPay to offer merchant-acceptance services in that country. The bank issues more than 1.2 million credit cards.
