Mineta San Jose (Calif.) International Airport awarded U.S. Bancorp a seven-year contract in December to deploy eight ATMs, including an undisclosed number that will be located after the security checkpoint, David Vossbrink, an airport spokesperson, tells ATM&Debit News, a CardLine sister publication. Minneapolis-based U.S. Bancorp will pay the airport $144,000 annually, and the bank can raise the ATM surcharge fee to $3 from $2 with approval from airport officials, Vossbrink says. A U.S. Bank spokesperson could not be reached for comment.
