Vindicia, a subscription billing service, is teaming with U.K.-based processor SmartDebit to provide "customer-not-present" payment technology.
The companies will integrate SmartDebit's direct debit processing with Vindicia's CashBox platform, which combines digital payments and marketing content. CashBox includes customer service, chargeback management, invoicing, reporting, fraud protection and offer creation.
Vindicia, of Belmont, Calif., and SmartDebit are targeting merchants in the digital games, media and financial news industries, which are increasingly reliant on automated payments capabilities, the companies said in a press release.
"Vindicia is expanding our billing platform offerings to meet an increasing customer demand for recurring payment solutions. As we look to grow our footprint in the United Kingdom, direct debit processing is an increasingly important and popular payment option amongst merchants with digital content and services," said Adrian Jenkins, vice president of Vindicia Europe, in a release.
