The service allows Nigerians to receive Western Union transfers directly into their Paga accounts, according to the companies' March 17 press release. Paga users can then withdraw funds at an ATM, send the money to a bank account or pick it up at one of Western Union's 4,900 locations in the country.

People who want to send international money transfers to Paga users in Nigeria can do so via Western Union's website or a Western Union location.

Western Union offers a similar service to Nigerians through its partnership with eTranzact, another mobile money platform. Western Union has been working to expand its international footprint in recent months through partnerships with MasterCard and other local service providers.
