The Virtual Credit platform has automated features for paying suppliers and reconciling accounts. It also includes a feature to set limits on payment authorizations.

The agreement will allow Zibrant to "reduce the complexity of managing and paying suppliers globally," said Myles Stephenson, the managing director of WEX Europe, in an Aug. 27 press release. WEX Europe is a London-based unit of WEX Inc., which is based in South Portland, Maine. Zibrant is located in Surrey.

WEX has expanded in recent months. It purchased Evolution1 in July and is in the process of taking over the Esso card program from Exxon Mobil.
