Women’s Network in Electronic Transactions, or W.net, is seeking contributions to help continue its work of providing information, mentoring and networking opportunities for women in the acquiring business.
The fund-raising campaign, called Strive for Five in recognition of the organization’s five years of work, has a goal of raising $10,000, Kim Fitzsimmons, W.net president and First Data Corp. president of independent sales services, noted in a press release.
“W.net hosts multiple educational programs and leadership seminars each year, providing attendees with the latest tips and insights to stay ahead of the curve in today’s ever-changing environment,” Fitzsimmons said. W.net’s Local Interest Networking Circles, called LINCs, help members collaborate, network and support each other, she said.
W.net also operates the Gateway to Success Mentoring Program, pairing industry veterans with newcomers to provide “the guidance and peer support needed to rise to the top,” Fitzsimmons said.
