Yapital Financial AG in Luxembourg is integrating its cross-channel payment system into the platforms of VeriFone Systems and the Ingenico Group.
Both partnerships, announced Sept. 10, will expand the use of Yapital's cashless cross-channel payment at the point of sale across Europe and are part of Yapitals strategic goal to expand its
Through VeriFone, Yapital's cross-channel payment solution will be initially accessible through the VeriFone H5000 terminals, according to a press release. VeriFone will enable Yapital customers to pay merchants and retailers simply by using their smartphone to scan a QR code at the point of sale. The full integration of Yapital into other VeriFone terminals will follow later this year.
Ingenico Group also agreed to include Yapital's cross-channel payment solution in its Ingenico Payment Services' e-commerce and in-store processing platforms. In Germany, Yapital said, its cross-channel payment option will be first deployed on the terminal base Ingenico inherited from Easycash, and on the Ingenico Payment Services e-commerce platform in the coming months.
"Consumers will be able to pay with their smartphone wherever they want not just online, but at both major high-street retailers and small local businesses alike," Nils Winkler, Yapital's chief executive, said in a press release.
