FIS

In 2011, Fidelity National Information Services was struck by a data breach that cost it $13 million. Similar to the scheme disclosed by prosecutors May 9, the earlier FIS incident saw its perpetrators "drastically increase or eliminate the withdrawal limits" for just a handful of cloned cards, security expert Brian Krebs reported on his blog.

Heartland

Heartland Payment Systems disclosed a major security breach in 2009, after passing numerous audits that indicated it was compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
