HERNDON, Va. – Northwest FCU has published a children’s book to help parents educate their children on the importance of saving, spending and sharing money wisely.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Corporate credit unions continued to hold securities showing unrealized losses of $17 billion at year-end 2009, which is down from the more than $25 billion in unrealized losses corporates held at the beginning of the year, but NCUA cautioned against reading too much into those numbers because growing amounts of losses are being realized.

DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine – A local man last week was charged with stealing a box of Maine Highlands FCU checks from an active duty U.S. Army soldier in 2008, then helping a group forge more than $14,000 worth of the stolen checks.
