DUBLIN, Ohio–Several credit unions in Ohio have been cautioning members not to respond to widespread phishing and vishing fraud occurring in the state. The Ohio CU League reported that thousands of Ohioans have been receiving messages via text, email, and voicemail stating their services were suspended, followed by a phone number to call. Members are then prompted to enter credit and debit card information. The league reported that there have been five unique phishing scams purporting to be from credit unions in the past two days. The FBI is uring consumers to report information at www.ic3.gov for investigation.

DEER PARK, Texas–Shell Federal Credit Union has launched an exciting new youth program called iLife. iLife is different from other credit union related youth sites because it contains a strong focus and participation in community involvement and social responsibility. Young adults are encouraged and offered avenues of opportunities to participate in such events with the credit union under the Shell FCU (Further Community Unity) team.

SAN DIEGO –Mission FCU here said it will deploy the Learn.com LearnCenter platform to automate blended learning. Sunrise, Fla.-based Learn.com provides workforce development and productivity solutions and will use LearnCenter to provide training for its employees at 23 branches. The credit union reported it has integrated its HRIS system with the LearnCenter platform to create development plans and track critical employee HR data.
