First Data Corp. has struck an automated teller machine deployment agreement with the Turkish banking company TEB-NBP Paribas.

The Denver company, a unit of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., said last week that over the next three years the two companies plan to deploy 1,250 ATMs at retail and other locations in Istanbul and other major cities.

"We continue to strengthen our position in Turkey, an important growth market for First Data, by offering economies of scale, high-quality technical infrastructure and service excellence," Soner Canko, the managing director of First Data's operations in Turkey, said in a press release.
