Fabiano Joins Qualcomm Unit

The wireless communications technology provider Qualcomm Inc. of San Diego has hired Rocco Fabiano as the president of its Firethorn Holdings LLC unit.

Fabiano succeeds Firethorn founder Tripp Rackley, who is moving into a position on the Atlanta mobile banking software vendor's advisory board.

Fabiano is expected to help Firethorn expand into additional markets. The hiring was announced Friday.

Fabiano is a longtime veteran of the financial services industry, most recently as a partner in the San Francisco venture capital company Belvedere Capital Fund LP.
