Eagle Bancorp Inc. in Bethesda, Md., has hired Virginia Navas Heine to oversee its commercial and industrial lending.

The $2.3 billion-asset parent of EagleBank said Thursday that Heine, who has 29 years of lending experience, will report to the chairman and chief executive, Ronald D. Paul. Her official title is executive vice president and commercial and industrial chief lending officer.

Heine most recently worked for TD Bank NA as head of middle-market lending in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia and western North Carolina. Previously she was a senior vice president and regional corporate banking manager at the banking company BB&T Corp., overseeing business development and credit quality in Washington, Maryland and Virginia.
