NBC Bancshares LLC  in Lincoln, Neb., has completed its purchase of a controlling interest in a unit of Capitol Bancorp Ltd.

NBC did not say how much it paid for the controlling interest in the $52.2 million-asset Mountain View Bank of Commerce in Westminster, Colo. The deal was announced in August.

This is the second deal between NBC and the $2.5 billion-asset Capitol Bancorp, which has dual headquarters in Phoenix and Lansing, Mich. In 2010, NBC acquired Community Bank of Lincoln from Capitol Bancorp.

This was also Capitol Bancorp's second agreement to sell Mountain View Bank. In December 2009, Capitol Bancorp agreed to sell the unit to Cherry Hills Founders Group, an investor group based in Colorado.

NBC is the parent company of the $64.4 million-asset Nebraska Bank of Commerce.
