Backbase has created a portal to help banks manage and optimize their online platforms.
Portal 5.4 includes enhanced digital marketing systems that Backbase says will help financial services companies target customers with better precision. New capabilities in the software include contextual targeting and segmentation (including integration to existing CRM systems and the use of social profiles), improved web content management capabilities (e.g. master pages, versioning, publication workflows, audit trails and compliance) and services for building mobile applications.
"Backbase Portal 5.4 is a significant step forward for Backbase and for our customers," said Jouk Pleiter, the company's chief executive and co-founder, in a press release Tuesday. "The latest release of Backbase Portal shows our commitment to push innovation in the areas of mobile first, optimizing web experiences and enabling digital relationship marketing."
