Freedom Credit Union Deploys Teller Staffing Software

Freedom Credit Union in Pennsylvania has adopted the Teller Management System from Financial Management Solutions (FMSI).

The Atlanta-based FMSI, which makes business-intelligence software, said Wednesday that the $632 million-asset credit union recently implemented its program for optimizing teller staffing.

The Teller Management System analyzes data from a bank or credit union to determine how many tellers should be working at different times. It also provides performance reviews of individual tellers.

"To improve service and limit member wait times, we want to properly increase our teller line staffing levels precisely when activity is the highest," said Victor Derrick, vice president of member services at Freedom Credit Union, in the news release. "FMSI's Teller Management System gives us critical insight on what time our member transaction activity is going to be the busiest, which translates into exactly when we need to schedule our part-time tellers."
