Digital Asset Holdings Names Sallie Krawcheck to Board

The blockchain startup Digital Asset Holdings has added Sallie Krawcheck to its board.

Krawcheck, former chief executive of Bank of America Wealth Management, is the latest financial industry veteran to join Digital Asset's board. The New York company has also appointed Sanoke Viswanathan, chief administrative officer of JPMorgan Chase's corporate and investment banking division, and Catherine Flax, head of commodity derivatives and foreign exchange with the BNP Paribas' Americas division.

Krawcheck said she joined Digital Asset's board because she sees great potential in blockchain technology.

"Distributed ledger technology presents a once in a generation opportunity to strengthen financial services as a whole," Krawcheck said in a Tuesday news release.

Krawcheck is currently CEO of Ellevest, an investment website aimed at women. She also is involved with Pax Ellevate Global Women's Index Fund, which invests in companies with female directors and top managers.

Digital Asset, led by former JPMorgan executive Blythe Masters, recently raised $60 million in funding from a number of major players in the financial services industry..
