First Banks in Mo. Promotes Seifert to New COO Position

First Banks in St. Louis, Mo., has promoted an executive to chief operating officer and has made two additional promotions.

The $6.1 billion-asset company on Thursday named Shelley Seifert chief operating officer, according to a Friday news release. The COO title is a newly created position, a First Banks spokesperson said.

As COO, Seifert has oversight of company operations, treasury management, human resources, marketing, information technology, project management and Community Reinvestment Act efforts. First Banks will pay her an annual salary of $375,000, plus additional compensation.

Seifert, 61, had been First Banks' chief administrative officer since October. She joined First Banks after working at PNC Financial Services Group as executive vice president of integration and operations.

Additionally, First Banks promoted Lisa Vansickle to chief administrative officer and chief risk officer. Vansickle, 48, had been chief financial officer since 2007 and joined First Banks in 1997.

First Banks also promoted Michael Normile, 40, to CFO from controller. Normile joined First Banks in 2007 after working at McGladrey & Pullen.
