Sunshine Bancorp in Fla. Snags Another Susquehanna Exec for Key Role

Sunshine Bancorp in Plant City, Fla., has hired another former executive from the former Susquehanna Bancshares in Lititz, Pa.

The $477 million-asset company said in a press release that it had hired John Finley as chief financial officer. He succeed Vickie Houllis, who resigned to pursue other career opportunities. Finley will oversee the company's strategic financial planning, financial forecasting and investment and interest rate risk management, among other responsibilities.

Finley previously served as Susquehanna's director of Treasury strategies. Before joining Susquehanna in 2013 he was president of the consulting firm Margin Advisors and chief financial officer of Graystone Tower Bank, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Sunshine's chief executive, Andrew Samuel, also left Susquehanna to join the Florida bank. Susquehanna, meanwhile, was bought by BB&T in Winston-Salem, N.C., earlier this year.

Sunshine Bancorp was formed in 2014 when Sunshine Bank converted from a mutual to a stock-owned company.
