West Alliance Bancorp. of Las Vegas has set a January launch for a browser-based reconciliation and positive pay service using technology from Trintech Group PLC of Dublin.
Michael Campbell, the bank holding company's director of treasury management, called Trintech's Lifecycle Management Payments system "the next evolution of account reconciliation and positive pay."
West Alliance is replacing a system from the CheckFree Corp. unit of Fiserv Inc. Mr. Campbell said he hopes to have his clients switched over to Trintech's system by February.
He said he selected the Trintech system because it provides clients with real-time access to their data, and because he hopes the browser interface will appeal to small-business customers.
"This is giving us a competitive advantage," he said in an interview Wednesday. "I doubt if they've seen this at any of our competitor banks."
