Transcard, a prepaid card marketing unit of Innovative Processing Solutions LLC of Chattanooga, Tenn., has developed a system that lets consumers manage their payroll card accounts with mobile phones.
The Transcard Mobile system lets cardholders view account activity and initiate transfers through the browsers built into many phones, the unit said Thursday. Cardholders also can receive text message alerts when balances reach certain levels or for specific transactions.
Transcard also lets employers distribute payroll information, such as paycheck details, through text messages.
