Eighteen children joined Make-A-Wish staff at 10 credit union visits throughout New Hampshire to hand deliver the homemade treats.
Learning something new
Sixteen Cub Scouts toured the branch of Fort Washington, Penn.-based TruMark Financial Credit Union while they learned about the history of coins.
Reality check
Over 350 students received a reality check from Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union during the Lowell, Mass.-based CU's ninth annual reality fair. Throughout the experience, students explored how they'd make decisions at the age of 25.
Needle away
Children afraid of needles will be pleased to hear that the Security Service Federal Credit Union donated $10,804 to the Children's Hospital of San Antonio. The of San Antonio, Texas-based CU's donation will be invested in two AccuVein Illuminator units, a medical device that alleviates discomfort from needle insertion.
Sponsoring schools and sports
One Nevada Credit Union is the sponsoring the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association, which oversees 220 regional and state championships that include 42,000 student athletes. The Las Vegas, Nev.-based credit union will now have a presence at all sanctioned high school events and activities thanks to the sponsorship.

Honolulu, Hawaii-based Hawaii State Federal Credit Union sent $10,000 to the Center for Tomorrow's Leaders, an organization that invests and empowers youth.

Indiana Members Credit Union in Indianapolis showed off its school spirit by donating $1,865 to a local high school for a school spirit debit card program. The program allows students to sign up for themed debit cards.

Pentagon Federal Credit Union in McLean, Va., has donated $15,000 to various local charities during the first quarter.
Giftin' giftcards
Fisher House received $1,000 worth of gift cards from Hanscom AFB, Mass.-based Hanscom Federal Credit Union. Fisher House serves military families by providing them with free room and board while family members undergo medical treatment through the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.
The McLean, Va.-based company admitted that it failed to file suspicious activity reports even in cases when it knew about criminal charges against specific customers. The misconduct took place in a unit that served check-cashing businesses and was later shut down.
