8 NW CUs To Share Branches

Eight Puget Sound region CUs have signed a branch-sharing agreement that will enable their 400,000 members to use about 40 branches in Alaska, Washington or Oregon. The network will be connected over the next year to the national system run by California-based Financial Services Centers Cooperative Inc. Under the deal, the host credit union will receive a transaction fee of about $1.18 from the member's credit union. Participants include: Alaska USA FCU, Boeing Employees CU, First Tech CU, Health CU, Qualstar CU, Seattle Metropolitan CU, Verity CU and Washington State Employees CU.
