MILTON, Fla. - (04/26/05) -- An employee with Brinks Armored CarService was charged with stealing $70,000 after workers at OkaloosaCounty Teachers CU discovered the cash missing from a plasticdelivery bag that was supposed to contain $127,500 that had beenopened and resealed with clear tape before delivery. Tony Simmons,26, of Milton, was freed on $25,000 bond after turning himself inand returning the money last week. Simmons told police he neededthe money for sick relatives because his mother and cousin havecancer. Authorities could not confirm if the relatives do havecancer.
