California’s Redwood CU Has Big Plans For NCR’s Cash/Check Deposit ATMs

SANTA ROSA, Calif. – Redwood CU announced this morning it will deploy 30 NCR SelfServ ATMs, 29 of which feature NCR’s Scalable Deposit Module, a new technology that allows consumers to deposit both cash and checks simultaneously in any orientation through a single slot.

With the NCR technology a typical consumer deposit of five bank notes and two checks can take less than 60 seconds.

“Our mission is to constantly serve our members better, and the faster and easier experience of NCR SelfServ ATMs with SDM will give our members an experience they will love,” said Cynthia Negri, senior vice president of strategic planning and administration for Redwood.

California’s Redwood, a $2 billion credit union giant, is a participant in the credit union-owned CO-OP Financial Services ATM network, which certified the new technology in June.
