EXTON, Pa. — Citadel Federal Credit Union announced that it has expanded its existing fee-free automated teller machine (ATM) network for Citadel customers in selected Rite Aid pharmacies to four new locations; three in Lansdale, Pa. and one in Harleysville, Pa., bringing the total number up to 29.
The $2.1 billion credit union said that the Rite Aid pharmacy locations are "interspersed" with current and planned Citadel locations.
Citadel also said that it recently opened three new branches in Montgomery County, Pa., and has plans to open several other branches later this year and in early 2016, including its first branch in Bucks County slated to open in Warminster in April.
"We're excited to broaden our reach to offer more convenience to our current and prospective customers," said Mike Schnably, Citadel's senior vice president, in a statement. "With our expansion into Montgomery and Bucks counties, it's even more important that we offer this kind of service to our customer base."
In addition to the 29 Citadel-branded ATMs, there are also more than 500 ATMs in Rite Aid pharmacies throughout Pennsylvania which Citadel members can use without incurring a surcharge, although balance inquiries and withdrawal fees may apply.
