Colorado Banking Commission Gives OK To Trust<@SM>Company

- ARVADA, Colo. (08/23/01) The Colorado Banking Commission grantedpermission last week for Members Trust Company of Colorado to offertrust services in Colorado. The board voted 7-1 to grant a trustcompany charter to the company owned by six Colorado credit unionsand Colleague Services Corporation. The charter request was opposedby 25 state- and nationally-chartered banking corporations orassociations with trust powers operating in the area, as well asthe Independent Bankers of Colorado and The Colorado BankersAssociation. Tim Kenczewicz, will be president and CEO of MembersTrust Company of Colorado, which is owned by Bellco Credit Union,Credit Union of Denver, Ent Federal Credit Union, Premier MembersFederal Credit Union, Public Service Credit Union, U of C FederalCredit Union, and Colleague Services Corporation (the ColoradoLeague service corporation). The six credit unions have combinedassets of $3.5 billion and 450,000 members.
