The $582 million credit union — which last year was part of an unusual three-way merger among CitizensFirst, Lakeview and Best Advantage CUs, all of which were healthy institutions — has added another name to the fold.

La Crosse, Wis.-based Community CU, a $118 million credit union serving more than 11,000 members, is set to become a division of CitizensFirst later this year. The move received a unanimous vote from all boards involved, and is expected to be completed in late spring 2015, pending a vote by CCU members and approval of the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions, Credit Unions, and NCUA.

CitizensFirst CEO Kevin Ralofsky told CU Journal late last year that the three-way merger, though unusual, has been a success for all parties involved.
