MADISON, Wis. — CUNA has proposed a bylaw amendment aimed at CUs that have a large presence in multiple states and may wish to participate fully in multiple leagues.
CUNA said the bylaw amendment would modify slightly membership dues for a "very limited" number of credit unions.
The trade association sent the amendment to all of its member credit unions last month.
The Cornerstone Credit Union League, which represents CUs in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas, said it supports the amendment, adding it "will ensure multi-state Cornerstone credit unions are afforded the same positive opportunities."
In other CUNA news, the association will release a survey in January addressing potential changes to the governance models of the CUNA-league system. The deadline for returning ballots is Monday, Jan. 26.
