In its second year, Operation Best Wishes is again offering troops' families to send holiday greetings to soldiers deployed overseas.
A complimentary service offered by credit unions through WesCorp and CIA Studios, families are given 10 minutes each on a high-speed webcast channel to exchange holiday greetings with their deployed family members.
Participating credit unions include Marine FCU, Navy FCU, Pacific Marine CU and Wescom CU.
Soldiers stationed abroad can either view and respond to their loved ones' messages live, if they are available at the time. If not, they can access the greeting any time at www.operationbestwishes.com.
Some 325 military families are expected to participate in the event
This is the second year for the event, which debuted in Southern California last year, when 125 fmily members and friends webcast holiday messages from mobile studios set up in credit unions at North Island Naval Station in San Diego and Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, Calif.
