Dallas County CU Now A Part of Texans CU

Texans Credit Union (TCU) and Dallas County Credit Union, have merged.

As the surviving charter, TCU now serves more than 163,000 members and has assets of more than $1.5 billion.

"This merger is a good step forward in our desire to better serve the people of Dallas County," said David Addison, CEO of Texans Credit Union. "We look forward to welcoming the 7,500 DCCU members into the Texans Credit Union family."

Dallas County CU had a community charter serving anyone living, working or worshipping in Dallas County.

Although Dallas County CU is now technically part of Texans, it will continue to run as a separate entity until the conversion process is completed.

The merger is expected to be complete in April, at which time members of both credit unions will be able to use the additional branches established through the merger.
