DULUTH, Minn. - (08/08/05) -- Duluth Teachers CU said it hasinstalled ACOM's in-house check printing solution that allows it todeliver high quality member checks at low cost in one day, or evenin minutes. The acquisition of its own in-house check printer wasprompted by the deteriorating quality and higher prices charged bythe credit union's previous vendor, Liberty Enterprises, which wasrecently acquired by John H. Harland Co., the credit union said.The ACOM solution consists of a personal computer, check processingsoftware, a MICR-enhanced laser printer, and trimming and bindingequipment. The credit union has 3,600 checking accounts.
