Educators Credit Union of Wisconsin thanks members with $3.1M dividend

Educators Credit Union in Mt. Pleasant, Wis., returned nearly $3.1 million to more than 103,000 members to thank them for their loyalty.

The giveback was part of the $2 billion-asset credit union’s “loyalty pay back” program, which rewards members based on the number of products and services they have with Educators. Members are divided into tiers based on the depth of their relationship with the credit union: Tier one members have three or four services, Tier two members have five or six and Tier three members have seven or more.

“The loyalty pay back reward is an opportunity for us to thank members for their commitment to Educators Credit Union,” President and CEO Linda Hoover said in a statement on Saturday. “Thanks to their investment in Educators, we are able to provide first-class service, provide educational resources to students throughout our community and support local charitable organizations in their effort to improve the areas where we live and work.”

Last year the credit union returned roughly $2.5 million to members and in the last three years, Educators has deposited more than $7 million into members’ accounts through the program.

Educators serves more than 180,000 members. It posted a net income of $15.8 million through the first three quarters of 2018, up roughly 36 percent from the first three quarters of 2017.
