ALEXANDRIA, Va. - (03/17/05) -- NCUA said Wednesday it issued aprohibition order banning the former manager of Phenix Pride FCUfrom the credit union industry for stealing more than $205,000 fromthe Pride City, Ala., credit union. Bessie Jo Peoples was convictedof theft and sentenced to six months in jail and ordered to pay$205,434 in restitution for the scheme. Also banned by NCUA were:Jason Nunez who pleaded guilty to stealing $49,884 from CreditUnion of Southern California, Whittier, calif.; and Sarah Lockwood,former loan officer with BNSF CU, Amarillo, Texas.
