Donald Finn, the former CEO of Mid-States Corporate Federal Credit Union,
Finn joined Mid-States when it was formed in 1976 as treasurer-manager and retired as CEO in 2001.
He commenced his credit union career in 1964 as a loan officer for Security Employees Federal Credit Union in Flint, Mich. In 1965, he began working in various departments for the Michigan Credit Union League.
Finn took the position of senior risk management specialist with the Credit Union National Association in Madison, Wis., in 1971. He then held positions with the Minnesota League of Credit Unions and the service corporation for the Illinois Credit Union League.
When Mid-States was formed, Finn assisted with the corporate operations while still running the service corporation for the Illinois league. In 1977, he was hired full-time with Mid-States.
In mid-2006, Mid-States merged with Empire Corporate Federal Credit Union to form Members United Corporate Federal Credit Union. Members United was liquidated by National Credit Union Administration in October 2010.
