Greenwood CU Names New President/CEO

Greenwood Credit Union, a $442 million institution based in Warwick, R.I., has appointed Frederick Reinhardt as president and CEO, effective November 1, succeeding Jim Irving, who will retire after 11 years of service.

Greenwood CU highlighted Reinhardt's more than 30 years of "diverse, senior-level banking experience," including having served since 2004 as chief lending officer of the Navigant Credit Union, a $1.7 billion institution based in Smithfield, R.I.

"The board is very excited to welcome Fred," Thomas Ahern, Greenwood CU chair, said in a statement. "Mr. Reinhardt's resume and record of community involvement are outstanding. Based on our interview and conversations, we believe he will be an ideal fit with our member-centered and technology-driven credit union. We look forward to welcoming him and the new successes his leadership brings."

Reinhardt has a B.A. in economics from Brown University in Providence.
