AUSTIN — Kasasa's unique program that combines the products and services from credit unions and community banks across the country under one umbrella can be a bit confusing, so here's how it works:
The program's creators, BancVue and FIRST ROI work together to establish contacts with the hundreds of community financial institutions that they already serve. Many of the deposit accounts these institutions have are already very similar, so Kasasa presents them as a single product to the consumer.
Upon going to Kasasa.com, the consumer chooses which product or service he wishes to utilize and then selects from a list of participating institutions. The list shows the slight differences between the products and the potential institution the consumer will work with.
Community banks and credit unions throw down their arms against each other and pool the segments of their marketing budgets under the Kasasa banner that would normally promote these products separately.
Kasasa uses those funds to create custom and localized marketing campaigns to take on the big banks and other massive institutions.
