Effective Dec. 1, Sangamo Chapter CU members can do business at their local branch as well as any Land of Lincoln branch in Bloomington, Decatur, Effingham, Mattoon, Pana or Vandalia.

Mac Dunaway, CEO of Land of Lincoln, said in a statement that the merger not only allows Land of Lincoln CU to offer a Springfield branch, but adds to its growing membership from previous mergers.

Jonan Tiarks, branch manager at Sangamo Chapter's Springfield facility, said that members have already begun to see the benefits of the merger.

"We've had a lot of positive feedback about the expanded services and special promotions we are now able to provide through LLCU," Tiarks said in a statement.

Land of Lincoln serves more than 28,000 members with $195 million in assets.
