HIGH POINT, N.C. — Lorillard FCU has officially rebranded as Triad Partners FCU, a new name that, according to a statement, reflects the community the CU has served for the past 50 years.
"We wanted the name to accurately reflect what we are all about; we have two branch locations in Greensboro, one branch in High Point and we are Partners in our members financial well- being," said Patti Weber, CEO at the $33 million, 4,500-member credit union. "We are hopeful that by broadening our brand identity, we would attract more people within our community."
In 2012 the credit union introduced the tag line "It's All Good," a frequent comment from members visiting the CU, and Weber said that Triad Partners will continue to use that slogan along with the new brand.
South Carolina-based Your Marketing Co. worked with the credit union on the rebranding process.
Originally chartered in 1965 to serve employees of the Lorillard Tobacco Company, the credit union finished 2013 with a net income loss of more than $95,000, and as of September 2014 — the most recent Call Report available — it was nearly $350,000 in the red. As of September it had just under $11 million in loans on the books, divided primarily among new and used auto loans, credit cards and personal loans.
It is currently well capitalized with a net worth ratio of 10.96%.
