IRWINDALE, Calif. – SCE FCU is launching a “People Powered Banking” branding campaign this week, featuring members’ images on buses and billboards throughout Los Angeles.
Members are the face of SCE FCU’s ads, which are appearing on strategically selected bus tails, bus wraps and bulletins for nine months. SCE FCU said it selected members with different financial backgrounds, including high school students, local city officials and ones who have started a business during the recent recession. The advertising campaign, with English and Spanish ads and microsites (sce4me.com and sceespanol.com) educates consumers on how to join, products and services offered, and branch locations for the $500 million credit union.
“Banks and most of the time credit unions tend to feature a product or a special loan rate in their advertising campaign,” said Irene Sarber, chief planning and development officer for the SCE, formerly Southern California Edison FCU. “We’re all about our membership and showcasing our flexibility and accessibility to the community came through in our branding campaign.”
